Your adventure begins in Khamkirri. Take the wheel of your 4×4 and power through rugged terrain to the Riemvasmaak hot springs and canyon before witnessing the thundering grandeur of the Augrabies Waterfall. End your first day at Kameeldoring Lodge beneath a star-studded African sky.
Journey along dusty tracks to Onseepkans on the Orange River. Enjoy a special lunch stop at the mystical Quiver Tree Forest with a traditional meal prepared by the local Nama Khoi people, before settling in at Red Rock River Camp overlooking the river.
Spend an exhilarating day rafting along the scenic stretches of the Orange River, with a riverbank BBQ lunch, afternoon fishing or relaxation, and a communal evening braai around the campfire.
Refuel at Pofadder and embark on the legendary three-day Namaqua 4×4 Eco Trail—South Africa’s longest wilderness 4×4 trail—featuring blooming Namaqualand landscapes and riverside camps such as Hartbeesmond right on the banks of the Orange River.
Transition to Oewerbos River Camp for a sunset river cruise with BBQ dinner on board. On Day 8, drive through spectacular mountain passes to Nigramoep Slow Living Guest Farm for a guided 4×4 botanical and copper-mining heritage tour.
Head to the wild West Coast, indulging in a fresh seafood lunch at Houthoop and exploring the shipwrecks, coastal sand tracks, and ocean campsites around Hondeklip Baai with the sound of Atlantic waves beside your camp.
Traverse the scenic West Coast interior to Vanrhynsdorp and conclude the odyssey with a celebratory steakhouse farewell lunch at Letsatsi Lodge.
