Experience one of Africa’s premier predator destinations where the red dunes of the Northern Cape meet Botswana and Namibia.
The Kgalagadi Transfrontier Park is located in the extreme north of the Northern Cape and stretches into southwestern Botswana along the Namibian border. Renowned for its large populations of black-maned Kalahari Lion, Cheetah, Leopard, Brown Hyena, and Spotted Hyena, visitors often enjoy even clearer sightings of large cats here than in Kruger, alongside gemsbok, springbok, meerkats, and 34 species of raptors.
You will be collected by your driver/guide at Upington Airport and travel along the scenic R360 through the red dunes of the South African Kalahari to Kalahari Molopo Lodge. Freshen up and meet in the restaurant for welcome drinks and dinner.
Depart after breakfast and enter the Kgalagadi Transfrontier Park at Twee Rivieren Gate. Enjoy an extended game drive deep into the Kgalagadi wilderness before arriving at one of the exclusive unfenced Wilderness Camps (such as Kieliekrankie, Urikaruus, Bitterpan, Grootkolk, Kalahari Tented Camp, or Gharagab).
After early morning coffee and rusks, head out on a 3–4 hour morning game drive visiting active waterholes in search of lions, leopards, cheetahs, bat-eared foxes, honey badgers, and raptors. Enjoy a picnic breakfast in the park and a late lunch back at camp, followed by sundowners on the deck listening to the Kalahari barking geckos as the sun sets over the dunes.
Depart after early coffee along the gravel roads to Nossob Rest Camp for shopping and a hearty brunch. Follow the ancient Nossob riverbed all the way back to Twee Rivieren Rest Camp on an extended predator-tracking drive, finishing with sundowners in the park.
Depart after breakfast and travel via the Kalahari village of Askham back to Upington Airport for your onward flight.
