Situated in Balule Private Nature Reserve within the Greater Kruger ecosystem, Imagine Africa Luxury Tented Camp is an intimate, family-owned lodge boasting just six spacious 55 m² elevated and air-conditioned canvas suites (accommodating a maximum of 10 guests in camp).
Each luxury tent features contemporary furnishings, a coffee/tea/desk station, private outdoor patio, en-suite bathroom, and complimentary high-speed Wi-Fi. Lounge beside the infinity pool as elephants quench their thirst at the nearby watering hole, and gather each evening in the traditional boma around a roaring fire beneath the Sotho-Tswana Naledi (stars).
Take the included shuttle from OR Tambo International Airport to Olifants West Gate, Balule (approx. 6 hours)—or opt for the 55-minute domestic flight to Hoedspruit Airport—where our lodge transfer awaits. Check into your 55 m² luxury air-conditioned tent, head out on your first open-vehicle afternoon safari, and enjoy dinner in the traditional outdoor Boma.
Experience twice-daily open Land Cruiser game drives led by professional safari guides and trackers. Enjoy freshly brewed coffee at sunrise in the bush and craft beers or gin & tonics with lemon slices at sunset.

Enjoy your morning game drive in Balule, or opt for a guided conservation excursion to the renowned Hoedspruit Endangered Species Centre (HESC—own cost R1,880 pp, min 2 guests, 09h30 departure) to see cheetah breeding, rhino rehabilitation, wild dogs, and the Vulture Restaurant. After lunch at camp, head out on your final afternoon game drive and bush sundowner.
Depart after breakfast for Olifants West Gate where your 10h00 shuttle transfers you back to OR Tambo International Airport (ETA 17h00). Fly-out guests can enjoy a final morning game drive before transferring to Hoedspruit Airport.
