Full Itinerary
Day One
You will be collected by your driver/guide at OR Tambo International Airport
We use the N4 highway past Mbombela to Marloth Park where we book into our Safari style
boutique lodge.
Dinner will be around the fire a la safari in the bush.
Accommodation: South Safari Lodge (or similar)
All bungalows sleeps 2 adults and comes standard with a dining area and kitchenette equipped
with a fridge, microwave, toaster, kettle, and coffee plunger. A comfortable private decked patio
leads onto your own fire pit/BBQ/Boma area. If you listen closely at night, you might hear the
Lions and Hippo’s from the Crocodile River merely +/-1 kilometer away!
Day Two
Full day game drive in the famous Kruger National Park.
You will be picked up from the lodge around 5am and enter the Kruger at Crocodile Bridge Gate
and continue towards Lower Sabie where the guide will stop for a breakfast
An Open Safari Vehicle Kruger Safari is really the ultimate experience and the closet you’re going
to get to nature as it unfolds in front of you. OSV ‘s have been specially designed for game
viewing and your safety in mind as you’ll be sitting higher and have a 360 degree view which is
great for wildlife viewing, become part of the elements, feel the wind in your hair, hear the sounds
of the bush, birds singing, lions roaring, elephants trumpeting and more.
Picnic lunch in the Park, before returning to South safari Lodge in the afternoon.
Dinner will be around the fire a la safari in the bush.

Day Three
Depart after breakfast for Hlane National Park in the nearby Eswatini (Swaziland) with its colourful
culture, history and breathtaking scenery – all packed into one country.
Hlane Royal National Park was proclaimed as a National Park in 1967, following Mlilwane Wildlife
Sanctuary (1961), under instruction of King Sobhuza ll. “Hlane” is the siSwati name for
‘wilderness’.
Arrive at Hlane National Park in time for lunch.
Later that afternoon you will enjoy a 2.5 hr Sunset Game Drive in an open safari vehicle, and
stopping to enjoy the sunset in a beautiful spot. A drink is included.
Dinner at the Camp’s restaurant, overlooking the nearby waterhole.
Accommodation: Wisteria rondavels with en-suite bathrooms
Day Four
Depart early for neighbouring Mozambique.
Enjoy a packed breakfast on the road, while our route takes us via Goba border post into
Mozambique, past the small town of Bella Vista to vibrant holiday village of Ponta de Ouro.
Ponta do Ouro is located in the Maputo region of southern Mozambique only ten kms from
the South African border. This quaint little town is a tourist hub throughout the year as South
Africans and tourists from afar flock here for the fantastic white sandy beach, spunky dolphins,
vibrant corals and generally the great holiday vibe. Rated as one of the top ten attractions
in Africa and fondly known as Ponta, the town is a must-see when visiting Mozambique.
Dinner tonight will be a seafood delight!
Accommodation: Gala Gala Eco Resort (or similar)
Each unit has a beautifully appointed bedroom, which sleeps 2 people a spacious en-suite
bathroom, fully-equipped kitchen and a dining and braai area in front of each unit. Your unit also
comes with a hammock, fan, mozzie net, plug points & electric lights.
Day Five
Breakfast at Gala Gala.
Enjoy the beach, delights and activities of Ponta.
Lunch is not included today, as there are so many little cafes and restaurants to choose from –
your choice!
Dinner: Another night on Ponta!
Accommodation: Gala Gala Eco Resort (or similar)
Each unit has a beautifully appointed bedroom, which sleeps 2 people a spacious en-suite
bathroom, fully-equipped kitchen and a dining and braai area in front of each unit. Your unit also
comes with a hammock, fan, mozzie net, plug points & electric lights.
Day Six
Depart after breakfast from Ponta, travel approx 10km to the Kosi border where we enter back
into South Africa, and travel another 10 km to the Robinson Crusoe style Amangwane Camp
where you kick your shoes off the minute you arrive….
“Mi casa es su casa”
Light lunch, before we depart for the famous Kosi Bay, which form part of the iSimangaliso
Wetland Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
The Kosi Bay Mouth is known as “the aquarium” because of the clarity of the water and the
abundance of fish species. It is one of the quietest beaches in South Africa. Kosi Bay is also home
to the famous 700+ year old traditional Tsonga fish Traps (fish kraals).
Dinner: South African barbecue around the camp fire.
Accommodation: Amangwane Camp
Accommodation consists of permanent tents with en-suite shower, toilet and hand basin. All the
tents are the same consisting of 2 single beds with a bedside table, mosquito nets, plug-point (no
hairdryers or kettles please) and all bedding and bath towels supplied.
Day Seven
Depart after breakfast for a day on the Kosi Bay lake system.
Bring your board shorts, sunscreen and cooler box and discover one of nature’s best kept
secrets.
Kosi Bay consist of a system of lakes, channels and an estuary, ranging from fresh to saline water
and joining the ocean at the mouth. It is one of the most fascinating and beautiful pristine lake
systems on the African coast, attracting a remarkable variety of brightly coloured marine life.
The boat will depart from Lake 3 with its super clean fresh water, and use the narrow channels
between the reeds to explore Lake 2 which is slightly saline, and Lake 3 which is filled with salt
water from the Indian ocean.
Hippos, crocs, and the prolific bird life will make this truly memorable.
The boat will stop along a safe spot at one of the pristine beaches in the lakes where you will have
time to snorkel, laze about and enjoy your packed lunch!
Once back at Lake 3, your transfer will be ready to collect you and take you back to Amangwane
camp for sundowners and yet another South African traditional dinner around the camp fire.

Accommodation consists of permanent tents with en-suite shower, toilet and hand basin. All the
tents are the same consisting of 2 single beds with a bedside table, mosquito nets, plug-point (no
hairdryers or kettles please) and all bedding and bath towels supplied.
Day Eight
Depart after breakfast.
Easy 5-6 hour drive mainly on the N2 highway to Durban.
Lunch en-route.
