5 Day Botswana Safari to the magical Tuli Wilderness
Are you a wildlife connoisseur? Then this safari is for you. Visit the beautiful
Blouberg (Blue Mountain) Nature Reserve, home of more than a 1000 breeding
pairs of the endangered Cape Vulture, and then the world famous Northern Tuli
Game Reserve in Botswana, part of the Mapungubwe Transfrontier Conservation
Area (Botswana, South Africa, Zimbabwe)

Full Itinerary
Day One
You will be collected by your driver/guide at OR Tambo International Airport
Easy drive using the N1 to the capitol of Limpopo.
Now onto secondary roads, we travel through beautiful South African “bushveld” to Blouberg
Nature Reserve.
Once checked in, we will explore this “undiscovered gem” of the Limpopo province.
Dinner will be cooked and served around the camp fire.
Accommodation: Tamboti tented camp – 4 Safari style tents with two beds each. Bedding
supplied. Separate ablution. Communal kitchen equipped with utensils etc.
No electricity. Gas fridge. Please bring your own lights
Communal braai area under large Tamboti trees.
Day Two
Depart after breakfast and cross into Botswana at the Platjan border post.
Now in the Tuli Wilderness we drive approx 1 hour to our luxury tented camp in the bush.
Serolo Safari Camp is located within the Northern Tuli Game Reserve along the shady floodplain
of the Limpopo River, 600m from the river itself, under the many massive riverine trees including
the magnificent Mashatu and tall Apple-leaf trees.
Lunch will be served at 15h30.
Afterwards a game drive in an open game drive vehicle will commence in the late afternoon. This
exciting drive usually extends into the darkness, including a bit of a night drive in the hope of
finding some of the more elusive nocturnal wildlife.
Dinner will be served at around 20h30
Accommodation: The unfenced Serolo Safari Camp offers accommodation in five fully-serviced
safari-style tents with each tent sleeping two persons. The tents are comprised of twin rooms and
double rooms and have an electricity supply to them. There are en-suite showers with hot water,
flush toilets, bed linen, towels and amenities are provided.
Day Three
Early morning coffee, before departing on a 3-4 hour game drive on Tuli Wilderness’ private and
exclusive 24 000 acre concession of Botswana wilderness.
Game such as Elephants, Lion, Leopard, Cheetah, spotted and brown hyena, a variety of
Antelope, Bush Pig, Warthog and more may possibly be seen on Game Drives around the reserve.
Birders will be pleasantly rewarded with sightings of many species occurring in this camp’s
habitat: Meyer’s Parrot, Meve’s Starlings, Southern Black Tit, African Mourning Dove, African
Scops-Owl visit all year and summer brings visitors like Broadbilled Roller, Eurasian Golden
Oriole, Woodland Kingfisher and Levalliant’s Cuckoo. Raptors include Little Sparrowhawk and
Gabar Goshawk.
Return to camp for a hearty breakfast, after which you are welcome to laze around the splash
pool until lunch is served at around 15h30.
This afternoon will follow the same pattern as yesterday.

safari-style tents with each tent sleeping two persons. The tents are comprised of twin rooms and
double rooms and have an electricity supply to them. There are en-suite showers with hot water,
flush toilets, bed linen, towels and amenities are provided.
Day Four
Early morning coffee, before going out for the last time to explore this wildlife paradise.
Return for breakfast, and depart at around 11h00.
Back to Platjan border post, then via the town of Alldays and Vivo to Blouberg Nature Reserve.
Check in, unwind, and enjoy your last day with sundowners in the bush.
Dinner will be cooked and served around the camp fire.

Communal braai area under large Tamboti trees.
Day Five
Depart after breakfast for OR Tambo International.
